Gillian heeds White Dragon King's advice

Popular divine figure in Hong Kong entertainment industry, Thailand's White Dragon King advised Gillian Chung to make her return to showbiz in March as an individual artiste, instead of being part of Twins. He also pointed out that making Thailand her first stop will be a favorable move.

Since Chung's sex photos with Edison Chen were exposed on the Internet in February last year, she has been hoping to seek the White Dragon King's guidance on making her comeback to the industry. When the White Dragon King was in Hong Kong last February to look at the feng-shui of Albert Yeung's The Emperor (Happy Valley) Hotel, he rejected the meeting with Chung, saying that "it wasn't time yet"; March last year, when Chung and her partner in Twins, Charlene Choi, went to Thailand with Yeung to meet the White Dragon King, he said it would be hard for Chung's career to pick up again. January 2009, Chung had wanted to visit the White Dragon King during Chinese New Year, but to avoid reporters' persuit, Yeung invited him to Hong Kong instead.

Chung's manager Mani Fok admitted that the former will be making the comeback as an individual artiste but denied that she had met with the White Dragon King and also overthrew the saying that Chung's comeback plan is made to avoid implicating Choi. Fok said, "Seriously speaking, there are many advertisers trying to engage Gillian, so it makes sense for her to make the comeback alone. It's not because we're afraid of implicating anyone." She also added that Twins will have to "wait for a more suitable time" to return. As for Chung's movie plans, Fok admitted, "We did meet up with Pang brothers and James Yuen but have not decided which director to work with. I will announce it when we have confirmed."

According to reports, Chung will be making her first appearance in a public event as Asia Pacific's ambassador for a jeans brand and then take on an interview by Stephen Chan on popular Hong Kong talk show "Be My Guest" where she will talk about the sex photo scandal.

Because of Edison Chen's Sex Photo Scandal, Gillian Chung's career has fallen to its deepest pits. However, she strives to make a comeback this year; not only has she been working hard in sharpening her dancing skills, but also in March, she will be filming a new horror film, directed by Danny Pang. She will become, succeeding Angelica Li, the "Ghost Queen" of the new generation, promoted by the Pang Brothers.

As reported by the "Next Magazine", Gillian's management company, EEG, has accepted three advertisement jobs for her, including one cosmetic ad and two fashion ads. Simultaneously, they are advancing to arrange for her comeback on the big screen. Among which, she will be filming a romance film, and another will be a horror film, directed by Danny Pang. Coincidentally at a time when Angelica Li feels tired of her horror film style, Gillian has a chance to become a "Ghost Queen", introduced by the Pang Brothers. Gillian's manager, Mani, expressed, "Gillian is a very strong girl, and she has long prepared herself for a comeback. She's in a great state, and we'll have plenty of jobs arranged for her in the future."

Gillian Chung, whose career was badly affected by the outburst of sex photo scandal involving Edison Chen last year, will be resuming work next month by starting on movie and commercial shoots. Chung may also be answering a talk show invite where she will reveal her life and emotions after the scandal in the past year.

Her first strike back into showbiz will be James Yuen's new movie, where the role as a third party in a relationship is said to be "made-to-measure" for her. Her partner in girl group, Twins, Charlene Choi will cast as the "official girlfriend" in the love triangle. According to Hong Kong media reports, CEO of Emperor Entertainment Group (EEG), Albert Yeung, has invited Andy Lau, who has a healthy image, to "shield" Chung in a successful return, by casting together in several movies.

Chung is now also an East Asia endorsee for a particular jeans brand and has secretly started on the commercial shoots. She will begin the promotional events in Hong Kong.

Other than these, Chung will be taking on an interview by CEO of TVB, Stephen Chan, on his popular talk show "Be My Guest" where she will talk about how the sex scandal has affected her. Chung and EEG did not state what questions should be avoided on the show but requested for the filming to be closed to media. With regards to this, Chan said, "Nothing has been confirmed as yet."

Gillian to resurface

Yesterday, a reporter heard from a top management of EEG who said that Gillian will make a comeback in March. There are a few advertisements and that include car, clothing and cosmetics. For the car advertisement, it will start in March and the photo shoot will be done in Sichuan. Besides that, reporters from Mainland China and Hong Kong will be invited for a news conference. If nothing happens, Gillian will officially make her comeback in Chengdu.

Besides this, a few days ago she was a spokeswoman for South East Asia for a brande3d Jeans and had secretly taken the photo shoots.

Yesterday the reporter contacted Mani and she had confirmed that one of her advertisements, the photo shoot will be in Sichuan. For this photo shoot in Sichuan, they will engage an international photographer. According to Mani, Gillian will go to Sichuan in March and infect she sort of started her work. When the reporter asks Mani which advertisement, she refuse to answer.

Last year, there was an earthquake in Sichuan and Gillian had donated $100,000. And subsequently she had made two trips to the earthquake area and had stayed there for 7 to 8 days to be a volunteer. She had make friends with the victim’s children and to support the building of the homes in Sichuan, she had discussed with her Company and will make a special trip to have the photo shoot done in Sichuan and to promote the scenery there.

To regain the confidence of the audience, EEG has invited Andy Lau to film with Gillian in a romantic movie. The movie may start to film in mid 2009.

Gillian has confirmed to be the spokeswomen for a branded Jeans (Levi’s) It was said that earlier, Gillian has secretly have her photo shoot done for the new advertisement. Coincidently, her ex-boyfriend was also the spokesman for this brand. Isn’t this called fate? It was said that Gillian will do her promotion in South East Asia including China and her first stop will be Hong Kong.

Also, Gillian will be a guest in the Be Our Guest. She will be interviewed by Stephen Chen. But this has not been confirmed.

Wu Yu praises Ah Gil saying she is in good form

The night before yesterday, EEG’s chief executive officer Wu Yu attended bma company’s valentines party in Hong Kong. When asked about the reports of Gillian making her comeback next month, he expressed that he hopes Gillian will return this year, and he revealed that she has already accepted numberous ads.

When asked whether Gillian will film movie ‘Death Like A Hormone Demon’, he did not directly answer, but instead replied vaguely: “Listen, only going to say this once, she will return before the end of the year.” He praised Gillian saying she is in good form, and still has excellent tacit understanding with partner Charlene Choi (Ah Sa). Other than this, this year is EEG’s 10th year anniversary, and is Joey Yung’s 10th year at EEG, that’s why they held a commemoration event.
