Emperor Motion Pictures is planning to produce a Wing Chun film, with Benny Chan directing. Nicholas Tse and Gillian Chung are set to play the leading roles. The female lead was originally intended for Isabella Leong but owing to her dispute with the company, Gillian Chung was chosen to fill the role instead.

Charlene Choi says, "Gillian Chung is feeling better now, and as it has always been her dreams to do kung fu films, she has bought some Wing Chun manuals. I often tease her for studying martial arts manuals. She's also training under some martial arts coaches."

However, further enquiries made with Emperor Pictures reveals that nothing is set in the stone, including the script, the director and the cast.

Due to the Edison Chen sex scandal Gillian Chung's work had been put aside and had always been the paparazzi's focus. Although many people rejected seeing her appear in the public it seemed since time passed more people are willing to slowly accept her. She recently appeared in mainland China to open the women's basketball tournament. Also recent reports stated that the scenes she filmed which were deleted in the film "Mei Langfang" were to be maintained. Also the 40 episode TV series she starred in "The Spirit Of The Sword" (浣花洗劍錄) will be broadcasted on the 25th of this month on ATV.

Gillian Chung, Charlene Choi appeared together at one of Central's hair Salons attracting many paparazzi's. But in the end Gillian was still able to avoid the paparazzi's and leave the premises. Gillian's manager Mani Fok attended EEG's singing contest 2008 auditions with Deep Ng and Sherman Chung as judges. Mani stressed that Gillian and Charlene went to the hair salon to have hair extensions and were not there for work purposes. She stressed that she is currently arranging work for Gillian including films, TV series, commercials. She also confirmed that Gillian will be starring in a TV series based from an online role-playing game storyline. But it will be announced during the most suitable time. Asked when the most suitable time would be? She replied by saying she is not willing to reveal that yet.
